EA's big game for this fall is Danger Close's Medal of Honor Warfighter and that means TV spots! This one shown below is GameStop's ad for the game.
It starts by showing us a Tier 1 operator walking solo in a war torn environment. While this is happening, Ella Fitzgerald's "After You've Gone" is playing in the background. Now, before you think Warfighter has gone all "Dead Island" on everyone, this doesn't last as the operator starts shooting and all those explosions you were expecting? Yeah, they happen.
The ad ends by reminding us that pre-ordering Warfighter on GameStop will net you SFOD-Delta Pointman class right out of the gate. Not really sure why anyone would want that, since isn't part of the fun of playing these games is the progression and unlocking stuff?
If you want to try before you buy, Warfighter has an exclusive Xbox 360 beta currently on-going and will last until October 15. Will this be enough to rope in those looking to buy Black Ops 2? EA certainly hopes so, but what do you think? Is there room for three multiplayer FPS games later this year with the other one being Halo 4?
Medal of Honor Warfighter will be out on October 23 for the PC, Xbox 360 and PS3.
