The Walking Dead is the PSN’s Top Seller for September

October 9, 2012 by Alex Co

The Walking Dead is still walking all over the competition as Sony has released the top sellers for September.

Sony has released the Top 20 PS3 and PS3 full games for the month of September and once again, Telltale Games' The Walking Dead shambled on to the top spot, while Valve's sequel to Counter-Strike managed to shoot its way upt to second place.

Here's the full top 20 list:

  1. The Walking Dead – Episode 3: Long Road Ahead

  2. Counter-Strike: Global Offensive

  3. 3 on 3 NHL Arcade

  4. Jet Set Radio

  5. Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater HD

  6. Borderlands 2

  7. TOKYO JUNGLE

  8. Madden NFL 13

  9. Double Dragon Neon

  10. FIFA Soccer 13

  11. Marvel vs. Capcom: Origins

  12. The Walking Dead – Episode 1: A New Day

  13. One Piece: Pirate Warriors

  14. NHL 13

  15. Journey

  16. Fight Night Champion – Champion Mode

  17. I Am Alive

  18. Grand Theft Auto IV

  19. Magic: The Gathering – Duels of the Planeswalkers 2013

  20. Castle Crashers

Out of all the full games released digitally for the PS3, Gearbox's Borderlands 2 managed to nab the top spot coming in at number six. Regarding DLC though, it seems sports games have that one all locked up, but Modern Warfare 3 did sneak up in there to be the only game that's not an annual release…oh, wait.

  1. NHL 13 – Premium Gold Jumbo

  2. Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 – Collection 3: Chaos Pack

  3. Madden NFL 13 – All-Pro Pack

  4. Madden NFL 13 – Legendary Pack

  5. Madden NFL 13 – Legendary Bundle

I honestly am not surprised that The Walking Dead managed to get the top spot once again. Heck, with episode four out tomorrow, I expect it to be numero uno for October, too. However, this month is also the start of Sony's Digital Day One program, so that might give other games a run for their money when it comes to digital purchases. I guess we'll know the complete stats when November rolls around.

Are you one of the people who bought The Walking Dead on the PSN and if so, what game do you think can dethrone it?
