Mass Effect: Andromeda File Size Unveiled

Here’s how much storage space you’re going to need.

We’ve waited for the next Mass Effect installment to launch into the market ever since the end of Mass Effect 3. Now that we’re nearly upon its release date, we’re finally getting details as to how much storage space we’ll need on our consoles before we can enjoy the title.

A number of gamers have started to report online that pre-loading has begun for Mass Effect: Andromeda. It’s with these reports online that’s starting to spread that we found out just how much storage space is required for both the Xbox One and PlayStation 4 platforms. Mass Effect: Andromeda will take 42.9 GB of storage for the PlayStation 4 while the Xbox One comes in at 42.19 GB.

BioWare has yet to make any official announcements regarding the pre-loading, though that will likely change relatively soon.

If you’re a PC gamer then we’ve reported in the past the system requirements required to run the upcoming Mass Effect installment.

For a quick refresher, here’s the system requirements and storage space required.

MINIMUM SYSTEM REQUIREMENTS
  • OS: 64-bit Windows 7, Windows 8.1 and Windows 10
  • PROCESSOR: Intel Core i5 3570 or AMD FX-6350
  • MEMORY: 8 GB RAM
  • VIDEO CARD: NVIDIA GTX 660 2GB, AMD Radeon 7850 2GB
  • HARD DRIVE: At least 55 GB of free space
  • DIRECTX: DirectX 11
RECOMMENDED SYSTEM REQUIREMENTS
  • OS: 64-bit Windows 7, Windows 8.1 and Windows 10
  • PROCESSOR: Intel Core i7-4790 or AMD FX-8350
  • MEMORY: 16 GB RAM
  • VIDEO CARD: NVIDIA GTX 1060 3GB, AMD RX 480 4GB
  • HARD DRIVE: At least 55 GB of free space
  • DIRECTX: DirectX 11

Mass Effect: Andromeda will be launching for PS4, Xbox One, and PC on March 21.
