2K Sports' NBA 2K13 is a more complicated game than you might think. While it's easy to just get Lebron or Kobe and go wild, nothing beats having a good "big man" to throwdown inside the paint and get you some easy buckets.
However, that's easier said than done most of the time. Even if you do get the ball inside the post, what can you do? Nowadays, pump faking and just plowing your way through just won't cut it. Lucky for you then YouTube user GameKing made a tutorial video on how you can dominate inside the paint in NBA 2K13.
Bear in mind though, not every big man is created equal. While the moves shown and listed below are effective, don't expect to use Scalabrine and score a ton of points. In these cases, it's wise to use moves that complement your big man. So, don't expect Dwight Howard to score via mid-range jumpers and whatnot.
In the video, expect you'll learn how to effectively post up and back down your defender, as well as do a variety of shots that are useful inside the paint. I'm talking about hook shots, short inside jumpers, up and under moves, standing (strong) dunks and even hop steps. Also of note, post moves aren't relegated just the centers or forwads. Nowadays, even shooting guards or pointguards post up when the situation calls for it.
NBA 2K13 Post Moves Tutorial:
In the video, you can see Dwight Howard effectively back down his defender, but seeing as not everyone in the NBA is as strong as Howard, don't expect it to be that easy. For players like Gasol, finesse is key and use your range to your advantage.
