Crazy numbers for a hugely popular game, who would have thought?. According to a report by Develop Online, the best-selling XBLA games has garnered four million sales. That's just in five months.
If we do the math, this comes out to 27k daily sales. Just plain ridiculous, no? And let's recall that the game is on a number of platforms now. Kind of makes you wonder what kind of absurd daily sales Minecraft is seeing on its native platform, PC. My guess is that the daily sales there are even higher. Never mind if we tally how many sales the game has total across all platforms.
Minecraft was released was created by Markus Persson at Mojang, being largely a game about building things and survival. The game was originally released last year to much critical acclaim, making such numbers very well deserved.
