The Nintendo Switch recently just launched into the market and if you haven’t already purchased a console, chances are you will be waiting for new shipments of units to come in. However, there’s a good amount of reasons to hold off on purchasing a unit and it seems that the Ben Heck Show just gave us one more.
There’s bound to be plenty of teardown videos out right now that has gone online showcasing just how to open the Nintendo Switch and look at its inner workings. However, the Ben Heck Show’s recent video going over the Nintendo Switch teardown might have unveiled a new model will be launching relatively soon.
Manufacturers are no strangers to releasing updated consoles into the market. These systems often come out smaller and a bit more efficient, but an upcoming Nintendo Switch iteration may launch with more memory.
While tearing down the Nintendo Switch the hosts found the console had its own board for the internal memory which ultimately indicates that Nintendo has plans to release a new unit with even more memory in the near future. This may be a bummer for those early adopters, but it’s to be expected an iteration will undoubtedly be launching in the future and this find from a YouTube content creator channel may have just solidified the rumors.
Being that the console has yet to launch into the market for a full month, the first models will still likely be very present in the markets for quite some time. Still with the reports of dead pixels, easily scratch screens from the default dock, and now the discovery of this separate memory board may tempt some potential buyers to hold off just a bit longer on a console purchase.
