The real periodic table of elements helps chemists to illustrate the chemical relationships among elements, how they bond or don't bond, the weight of its nucleus, all that sciencey stuff. This periodic table for Minecraft is a little less scientifically rigorous, but I'd kind of like a poster of it in every middle school Chemistry classroom anyway, just to mess with the students. Or tell them that science can be fun. Something like that.
