EA has announced a new Battlefield game which is absolutely free to play, Battlefield Play4Free, similar to Battlefield Heroes but targeted towards a more hardcore audience. Battlefield Play4Free is expected to release 2011 and if you fancy the closed beta which kicks off end of November, head over to the official site and register. The game is set to feature maps from Battlefield 2 and powerful weapons, familiar classes and vehicles from Bad Company 2.

Senior Producer, James Salt said,
