Outlast 2 Receives Release Date; Physical Collection of Entire Series Announced for PS4 and Xbox One.

March 6, 2017 by Jordan Biazzo

Ready to get scared?

Developer Red Barrels took to Twitter to announce the long-awaited release date for Outlast 2. The game is now slated to release next month, on April 25 for PC, PS4, and Xbox One.

The follow-up sequel to the original Outlast was delayed late last year due to the studio wanting to “deliver the best, most terrifying, most fulfilling experiences possible.” Now players won’t have to wait too much longer as the game has locked in its release date.

In addition, Red Barrels Studio announced a new collection for the horror series. Outlast: Trinity will be a physical only release, and it won’t is coming to PC.

For those who want to get a glimpse of what to expect in Outlast 2, PlayStation 4 users can download the demo for the game now. The demo features cameraman Blake Langermann, a cameraman working alongside his wife Lynn. The couple work as investigative journalists who are tasked with following a trail of clues that began with the murder of an anonymous pregnant woman known as Jane Doe.
