Ghost Recon Wildlands Open Beta Breaks Ubisoftt Record; More Than 6.8 Million Players

March 1, 2017 by Jordan Biazzo

Guess how many players joined in on the fun this past weekend?

Ubisoft has taken to their blog to update fans that the upcoming squad-based shooter, Tom Clancy Ghost Recon Wildlands has hit some major milestones in the open beta this past weekend,

Ubisoft reports that more than 6.83 million partook in the open beta, which spanned across all three platforms — PS4, Xbox One, and PC. Players seem to have been playing the game nonstop as the total playtime reached 34,295,124 hours; an absolutely staggering amount of time.

The open beta also has some more interesting facts like the total amount of kills, teammates saved, and how many base jumps were performed. Check out the full info graphic down below:

“The recent beta phases for Ghost Recon Wildlands gave players a taste of what it’ll take to fight the Santa Blanca drug cartel in the Bolivian wilderness, and as it turned out, a lot of you were eager to squad up and hit the ground.”

“More than 6.8 million of you, to be precise, breaking Ubisoft’s previous beta records – but that’s not the only impressive statistic coming out of the closed and open betas. More than two billion minutes were played, and more than 60 percent of all players played in co-op (Ghost Recon Wildland supports both solo and cooperative play for a team of up to four Ghosts).”

Ghost Recon Wildlands is scheduled for release on March 7 for PC, Xbox One, and PS4.
