The Nintendo Switch is launching worldwide on March 3, 2017, and the console is already receiving a number of third-party video games. One of the titles announced for the console is Bethesda’s The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim. However, we’re not sure just what edition will be launching for Nintendo’s next console release.
Bethesda’s director, Todd Howard, recently held an interview with Polygon in which the famed developer revealed absolutely nothing when it comes to Nintendo’s Switch launch of The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim. It seems that Bethesda is keeping their lips tightly sealed until they are fully ready to announce more when it comes to their beloved Elder Scrolls installment.
We know that the video game will be launching on the platform at some point, but details regarding what edition of the title will see a release on the console are unknown. For some gamers, there is speculation that the Nintendo Switch console will not be able to run the full 2016 remastered edition leaving the first edition with the original textures the only option for Bethesda to release.
However, another option may be that Bethesda will be releasing a separate version that will be optimized specifically for the Nintendo Switch. For now, it seems we’ll simply have to wait and see just when Bethesda will be showcasing more details regarding the video game.
