Square Enix has announced today that Dragon Quest Heroes 2 will release on PC alongside and PS4 version. In addition, a Day One Explorer’s Edition ($59.99) for Dragon Quest Heroes 2 was also announced and it is up for preorder on both the Square Enix Store and the PlayStation Store.
The field-roaming RPG “sends players on a new adventure to restore order in a once peaceful world filled with hordes of monsters and battles of epic proportions,” according to the trailer’s synopsis. Dragon Quest Heroes 2 supports up to four multiplayer channels, encouraging cooperative play in order to “conquer swarms of enemies and defeat challenging boss monsters.”
The Day One Explorer’s Edition comes with 15 exclusive DLC items such as weapons designed from the enemies in the game. This includes the Slime Knight’s Shield, Great Sabreclaws, Golem Gauntlets, and more, which are listed below.

In a blog post on Square Enix’s official website, Dan Seto, the community manager at Square Enix’s official website, the news was revealed that Dragon Quest 2 will hit PCs this spring. The game will hit PlayStation 4 on April 25th for North American audiences and also for PC on this very same date, including on Steam. The game releases in Europe on April 28th.
