Microsoft Unveils E3 Press Briefing Schedule

February 15, 2017 by Dennis Patrick

Get ready for E3 2017.

It feels as if E3 2016 was just covered and already we’re gearing up for E3 2017. There’s still plenty of time before the big expo and it’s certainly going to be big as this will be the first E3 to be open to the general public. However, we’re getting word of when we can expect a few press briefings from various companies. We know that Electronic Arts and Bethesda Softworks will be showcasing their event on Sunday, June 11, 2017. Now we can officially place Microsoft on Sunday’s press briefing list as well.

This will be a first for Microsoft as the company normally holds their press briefings on Monday, but pushing it back to Sunday will give us just an extra bit of time to dissect everything we can when it comes to the company’s upcoming Project Scorpio.

We’re expecting to learn a plethora of details when it comes to Project Scorpio which will be Microsoft’s updated high-end console, one that Microsoft boasts as the most powerful console to ever launch. The announcement of Microsoft’s press briefing came from their official Xbox Twitter account and it’s revealed that Microsoft will once again be set up at the Galen Center in Los Angeles.

Furthermore, head of marketing for Xbox video games, Aaron Greenberg, has announced that Microsoft will be holding another Xbox FanFest during E3 this year and that a few hundred fans will also be invited to the event along with the E3 press briefing. For fans who are not directly working within the game industry or a member of the press, E3 is also shaping up to be one exciting event that was once off limits.
