Mass Effect 3 For Wii U Includes Extended Cut and From Ashes Content

September 14, 2012 by Ian Miles Cheong

The Wii U port of Mass Effect 3 will include free DLC content.

Javik

Nintendo has announced that the Wii U port of Bioware’s sci-fi epic Mass Effect 3 will come packed with the “From Ashes” DLC and include all content of the Extended Cut in addition to the regular content for the game. Straight Right is on porting duty.

"Wii U players will also experience the From Ashes DLC Pack and Extended Cut ending as a part of their story," says the Nintendo rep.

The From Ashes DLC Pack was released as a separate $10 add-on for Mass Effect 3 on the PC, Xbox 360 and PS3. It includes a completely new squad member named Javik, a Prothean, whose presence aboard the Normandy is integral to the storyline. The pack also included a Javik-related mission, additional outfits for squad members, and some new weapons.

Unfortunately, the Wii U port of the game will come sans the Leviathan DLC, and there’s no word on when they plan on releasing that.
