The Resident Evil franchise has been boasting some impressive achievements lately.
Capcom’s Resident Evil 7: Biohazard reported five hundred thousand units shipped since its last reported sales, which in total places the horror title at a grand three million units shipped worldwide since its launch two weeks ago. Capcom has yet to confirm the sell-through numbers.
While, Resident Evil: The Final Chapter boasts a staggering 1.2 billion dollar gross revenue and according to BoxOfficeMojo, eighty percent of that figure came from countries outside of the United States. Capcom boasts this as the all-time top box office gross of any film adaptation based on a video game in history.
