Fire Emblem Heroes Mobile Pulls a Formidable 5 Million Dollars in its First 7 Days

February 10, 2017 by Jordan Coetsee

Impressive Nintendo!

Mobile games are no stranger to massive inflows of revenue, even in comparison to their controller-based counterparts.

Nintendo president Tatsumi Kimishima stated in an interview with TIME magazine that the Fire Emblem Heroes Mobile had exceeded a million downloads within half a day, and made 5 million dollars a week after its initial release on iOS and Android.

The free-to-play RPG includes features such as  PvP, Story Mode and an exchange feature to trade real money for in-game currency – which can then be used to purchase characters to strengthen the player’s team.

Fire Emblem Heroes appearing a critical hit, this inspires confidence in Nintendo this as their goal is to release two mobile games per year. Nintendo has innovations planned (such as extra storylines) to keep players engaged. If executed well, these impressive figures shall continue to rise.
