One of the highlights of playing NBA 2K is creatiing yourself within the game and pacing your way from scrub to eventual NBA superstar. Luckily, 2K hasn't forgotten about that as their latest developer diary focus on NBA 2K13's MyCareer mode.
Previously called "MyPlayer" in previous iterations of the sports sim, MyCareer looks to offer a revamped take on the mode. Although it will still start with you creating a player from scratch, building his skillset to be good enough to be drafted, and work your way up to becoming a legt threat to the likes of Kobe Bryant, Lebron James and the other stars.
Watch as producer Erick Boenisch talks about the mode in detail in the trailer below.
In the trailer, we get to see "Ronnie Singh" progress his career from being a draftee, to winning an NBA championship with the L.A. Clippers…hey, this is a videogame after all, right?
While NBA 2K has always been fantastic when it comes to gameplay, stuff like MyCareer are what makes the game playable even when you're alone.
NBA 2K13 is set for release on October 2 for the PC, Xbox 360 and PS3.
