Spice Things up This Valentine’s With Vertical Drop Heroes, Now on PS4, Vita & XB1

February 4, 2017 by Katrina Filippidis

Delightful 2D monster battles in full HD.

After a very positive run on Steam, the old-school browser action game Vertical Drop Heroes is making the leap to consoles. Independent developer Nerdook originally released the game in 2010 as a free to play game before transitioning to PC. The console version of Vertical Drop Heroes has been remastered in full HD and comes with a gigantic world of randomly generated battles.

The full list of game features is as follows:

  • Randomly generated stages, enemies and bosses, resulting in a very replayable game
  • Artwork, coding and animation done by one person, Nerdook, in his unique style
  • Split screen, local co-op
  • Destructible terrain and multiple uses for each skill gives you plenty of options to approach the different situations generated
  • Tons of skills, abilities, traits and powers that you can unlock in the game, creating a different hero each time
  • Unique combat system where proper planning is more important than quick reflexes
  • Persistent upgrades allow you to carry forward progress between games, with a choice between increasingly expensive persistent upgrades or generally cheaper temporary upgrades
  • Every enemy and boss has been designed to provide challenge and variety

Vertical Drop Heroes releases on February 14 for PlayStation 4, PS Vita and Xbox One (February 17)/ The PS4/Vita versions will cost $6.99 USD, and the Xbox One version is a touch pricier at $7.99 USD.
