If you didn't know, Sony has announced that PS+ members will be getting Borderlands 1 free for September. However, Sony isn't stopping there. In addition to Borderlands, another game is set to join the freebie list and it's sure to tug on the heartstrings of those old enough to remember it.
For those too young to remember, Double Dragon was one of the biggest beat-'em-up franchises in the 80s. After 25 years, the game is now getting a remake called Double Dragon Neon. It will, once again, star Billy and Jimmy Lee as they search for Billy's girlfriend Marian yet again.
Here's a clip of Double Dragon Neon in action.
Double Dragon Neon will feature a 2-player co-op multiplayer called "Bro-Op." One thing Majesco is changing up is the implementation of the "songs and Mix Tape" game mechanic. Players will need to pick songs up to include in your Mix Tape which holds your special powers and upgrades…yeah, it's as ridiculous as it sounds.
DDN will be available for $9.99 and will be free for PS+ members until January of next year. I just hope the game is somewhat good as its namesake and not just riding on its coattails, no?
Do you remember Double Dragon? If so, will you be picking DDN up?
