Sony will soon be delivering out the next major update for their Sony PlayStation 4 consoles. The update will bring consoles from 4.00 to 4.50, though we don’t have any details yet on what gamers can expect from this next major update. With that said, Sony is currently taking in candidates to try out the beta version of this update.
News regarding the next update came from the official PlayStation Blog, where Sony unveiled the next major update will be coming soon though they are currently looking for gamers interested in beta-testing the update. For gamers to be selected, they’ll have to register to be a beta tester, which you can do so right here, and must be at least 18 years of age. Those interested will have up to the start of February to register, but registering alone doesn’t guarantee you beta access.
Again, Sony did not give any details regarding what the next major update will bring to the Sony PlayStation 4 console. Although there is a nice list of features gamers have been requesting to see on the console. One of the biggest requests PlayStation 4 owners have been wishing to see available is an external hard drive option.
Although we could speculate that this major update would be more tuned towards the PlayStation 4 Pro and PlayStation VR. We’ll simply have to wait and see just what the beta brings gamers when it launches this February.
