Double Fine Reveals Sequel to Double Fine Happy Action Theater

August 20, 2012 by Lana Polansky

Upcoming sequel is showcased in 40-minute livestream.

Double Fine has recently revealed its sequel to Double Fine Happy Action Theater. In a 40-minute livestream hosted by GiantBomb (seen above) last Friday, the game was announced, showcased for all of our eyes to feast on.

Much like its predecessor, the sequel is centered around Kinect-based mini-games which put the players into wacky, unlikely situations (for example, becoming a dragon and demolishing a city.)

Double Fine shows off many of the 17 upcoming mini-games that the sequel boasts during the livestream, and the developer also added a feature that allows players to take and frame gameplay screenshots which they can then upload to Facebook. What’s more, Double Fine reveals that those who purchase the sequel and already own the first game will unlock the original 18 mini-games for use in the new sequel.

The Double Fine Happy Action Theater sequwl doesn’t yet have an official title, set pricing or release date but is coming to the XBLA marketplace.
