Almost five years have gone by since Frog Fractions, a free to play tower defence style game hopped into internet browsers and captivated audiences through its amphibian charm. The sequel, Frog Fractions 2, was originally kickstarted in 2014, but its release date has been kept under wraps—until now.
Frog Fractions 2 has been discovered hiding within another game called Glittermitten Grove by a group named Game Detectives. In the months leading up to its discovery, the game’s creator Jim Crawford gave players hints by hiding references to FF2 in a mystery box and in over 20 other indie titles. Crawford had previously advised kickstarter backers that upon release, the game would not be called Frog Fractions 2, but rather something along the lines of “Lost Kingdom: Reckoning,” by Fork Bomb LLC or “Turbo Finance 2015″ by Vespenta Holdings.”
Glittermitten Grove is currently on Steam for $19.99 USD.
