Capcom is still hoping to turn its Lost Planet IP into a mega-franchise and they're now betting on Lost Planet 3 to make it happen.
The publisher has released the game's official Gamescom trailer and I must admit, it really reminds me of another game set in space that has its protagonist wearing a rig, too.
While the game's normally known for its battles with huge monsters and shooting elements, the trailer seems to be focusing more on giving the player a far more "claustrophobic" look into its corridors and environments — again, eerily reminding me of that same game that has a lot of dead people in it.
So, is Lost Planet 3 a horror game or an action game? Your guess is as good as mine at this point. I think I'm not alone here when I say that the game seems to be "borrowing" another game's elements a tad too much, no?
Heck, I think you guys can even name that game even without me saying its title. Give it a go in the comments and see if we agree on the same stuff.
Lost Planet 3 is being developer by Spark Unlimited and is set for release next year for the PC, Xbox 360 and PS3.
