‘Tis the Season is all about giving, and Activision has some amazing gifts in store for Call of Duty players during the month of December.
First off, Call of Duty is showing its gratitude to the loyal fans by handing out a very cool weapon to players who have play time in both Call of Duty: Black Ops III and Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare. Starting today and continuing through the end of month, all players who own Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare and Call of Duty: Black Ops III will receive an epic prototype Hailstorm – Thunder pistol.
The Hailstorm-Thunder is extremely deadly, featuring a three-round burst along two perks: Whirlwind, which is a fast cycling auto burst that increases recoil and Focus to reduce idle sway while aiming down sights.
When Modern Warfare Remastered launched last month, it included ten remastered maps from the original game. On December 13th, players who own Modern Warfare will get the remaining maps: Bloc, Countdown, Pipeline, Showdown, Strike, and Wet Work, along with the Hardpoint and Gun Game modes being made available in Modern Warfare Remastered for the first time.
In addition, all players will also get the remastered Winter Crash map. There will be a 24/7 Winter Crash playlist beginning on December 20th that will last through the holidays, with more details about that coming soon.
Another holiday map makeover will also take place in Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare with the Genesis Holiday map getting an upgrade as well as the Headquarters for the Division of Mechanical Evolution gets a festive new look. To round it all out, there will be a 24/7 Genesis Holiday playlist.
For the 12 Days of Winter event, starting on December 21st to January 1st there will be a ton of awesome freebies given out. These freebies range from big Salvage and Key bonuses, to winter-themed Common, Rare, and Legendary prototypes. Twelve days, twelve great gifts for free, just for logging in. Log in each day to get that day’s bonus. Because each reward will only be available for one day, and once they’re gone they’re gone.
