Alan Dabiri is taking over from Dustin Browder as game director of Blizzard’s PC MOBS, Heroes of the Storm. This is a massive change up of leadership for the game and studio. browder announced that he would be leaving to take on a different project within the studio.
“This was not an easy choice to make. I still play Heroes five nights a week, and sitting in the bullpen surrounded by this team has been the most intensely creative experience of my career,” said Browder.
Browder says that he has spent months with Dabiri, showing him the ropes and making the transition easier for the team- “But one thing that’s making this decision easier is knowing the future of Heroes is in the right hands.”- said Browder about Dabiri.
But Browder wasn’t going to go out without a bang. He teased that 2017 will be a massive year for the game and that players can expect more battlegrounds and heroes.
