Naughty Dog’s game directing duo are splitting up. Bruce Straley and Neil Druckmann worked alongside each other in directing Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End and Straley added to his impressive resume’ by also directing The Last of Us (both highly successful games). Unfortunately, Straley has confirmed that he will not be directing the recently announced sequel: The Last of Us Past II.
Sony said in a statement:”Bruce recently decided to take some much deserved time off after shipping two critically acclaimed games in the last few years,” The company also said that, “He’s looking forward to returning to the studio soon and jumping back in on his next project.”
Who will replace Straley’s part to play in the much anticipated sequel? None other than the man who helped him with Uncharted 4- Neil Druckmann. Druckmann met with the panel for the game, and PlayStation have said they are excited to have him on the project.
