Nintendo Themed Attractions Confirmed for Universal Studios

November 29, 2016 by Jordan Biazzo

Nintendo will be making their way to three Universal Theme Park Resorts

Last year the partnership of Universal Studios and Nintendo excited a lot of people. However, since then there has been little to no talk about the new section of the park, until today. There is now confirmation that the Nintendo themed section of the park will come to three Universal Studios Resorts parks — Japan, Orlando, and Hollywood.

A new video, which released today, shares early insights on the collaboration between Nintendo and Universal Parks & Resorts; take a look at the video above. The park will include some of gamers favorite games and allow park-goers to experience Nintendo brought to real-life.

This is exciting news for theme park-goers as this will truly be an experience like no other. Shigeru Miyamoto (Nintendo) and Mark Woodbury (Universal Creative) say that regardless your age or experience with Nintendo games, there will be something for everyone to enjoy.

There is still no news on when the ‘Nintendo Land’ section of the park will open, however, there is the talk of the Japan resort shooting for a 2020 release date; so that it would coincide with the 2020 Olympics which will be hosted by Japan.

Here are a few more highlights on what to expect from ‘Nintendo Land’:

– These will be expansive, immersive and interactive. They will be highly themed and authentic environments filled with multiple attractions, shops, and restaurants.

– Guests will feel as if they are playing their favorite games – this time in real life.

– There will be something for everyone – regardless of their age or gaming experience level.

– Planning and creative work on these areas are well underway; they will open separately over the next several years.

– The new themed areas come as the result of a global partnership between Universal Parks & Resorts and Nintendo – two icons of the entertainment world. Universal theme parks create incredibly popular family entertainment experiences for millions of people based on compelling characters, stories, and innovative technology. Nintendo creates remarkable and imaginative games filled with captivating stories and beloved characters.
