If you've played any Battlefield game in recent years, chances are you're familiar with the term "Battlefield Moments."
Battlefield Moments are those instances when something amazing happens that can only be done in Battlefield and not with any other competitive FPS. This could be loading a jeep with C4 and then driving it to an enemy tank but not before jumping off at the last second to detonate it to destroy said tank and kill whomever's in the vicinity.
While videos like these are scattered throughout YoutTube as we speak, DICE is holding an "Only in Battlefield 3" video competition and the best one will win a ton of stuff.
Here's a sample video of the things that players submitted to DICE.
So, if you know how to record videos off consoles or you play BF3 on PC, then you can participate in it. Here are the three categories you can enter in.
Battlefield 3 Close Quarters
Videos comprised entirely of footage taken while playing on Close Quarters maps
Battlefield 3 Back to Karkand
Videos comprised entirely of footage taken while playing on Back to Karkand maps
Battlefield 3 Overall
Videos comprised of footage from any Battlefield 3, Battlefield 3 Back to Karkand, or Battlefield 3 Close Quarters maps
Here's how to enter the "Only in Battlefield 3" video challenge:
- Create your unique Battlefield Moment trailer based on your own Battlefield 3 gameplay footage
- Feel free to use the Battlefield 3 asset pack which you can download from here
- Use your own captured HD footage
- Please make sure to only use the supplied Battlefield 3 theme for your trailer soundtrack, since we will not be able to consider your entry (no matter how great) if it contains other copyrighted music.
- Upload your trailer to YouTube
- Email the link to [email protected] by September 12, 2012 and make sure to use the subject line "Only in Battlefield 3" in your email. Please include your full name, address, daytime phone number and date of birth.
- NOTE: By submitting an entry to the "Only in Battlefield 3" Community Video Challenge, you confirm that you have read and accepted the Terms and Conditions (available at the bottom of this page).
- A jury consisting of the DICE Battlefield 3 team will then trawl through the entries and select a shortlist of contenders
- Shortlisted entries will appear in a dedicated playlist on the Battlefield YouTube channel where the entire Battlefield community will be able to review and comment
- From the shortlisted entries DICE will pick 3 winners who will each win a customized PC Powered by AMD Gaming Evolved and Razer.
