Dishonored 2 Gets Mixed Reviews, But Gamers Love It

November 22, 2016 by Jordan Coetsee

Dishonored 2 has received mixed reviews, but looks to be an overall great game.

Dishonored 2 was released on the 10th of November 2016, and since its release it has received mixed reviews across the board. Dishonored 2 follows on from the first game in the franchise in terms of storyline, however with a crucial difference. The player gets to choose which story line they wish  to follow based on a choice; presented by the game; between two characters each with their own respective storylines.

Reviews on Dishonored two have received a mixture of both critiques and praise. Dishonored 2 brings back many aspects of what fans loved about the first game in terms of gameplay and storyline; and with the new addition of choice in storyline and characters, there is a lot more replayability to the game. However, Dishonored 2 also retains many of the negative aspects from the first game. The game is still not as open-world as it should be, and character model art style still feels out of place in the presented world, rather than part of the world.

Here’s what the critics are saying:

  • PCgamesN – 10
  • TechRadar – Play It Now
  • Multiplayer.it – 8.5
  • Attack of the Fanboy – 5/5
  • Gameblog France – 9
  • Gamespot – 8
  • GamesRadar – 4.5/5
  • GQ UK – No Score
  • PC Gamer – in progress
  • IGN – 9.3
  • Polygon – in progress
  • SpazioGames.it – in progress
  • Forbes – in progress
  • Twinfinite – 4.5/5
  • Xbox Achievements – 9
  • ThisGenGaming – 9
  • NZ Gamer – 9.4

Regardless of the critiques, Dishonored 2 is still a widely popular game, and Arkane Studios has delivered another fantastic, alternative game which is set to please all who play it. Dishonored 2 is available on Ps4, PC, and Xbox One.
