Hitman is getting an upgrade for gamers who play it on the PlayStation 4 Pro, which releases next week. The game will be updated to support the new console on day one of its release.

On its official website, IO Interactive stated that the upgraded version will offer higher resolution, better anti-aliasing and improved reflective surfaces. Just as well, lighting effects will also be getting a visual upgrade.

Hitman joins Deus Ex: Mankind Divided and Rise of the Tomb Raider to support the new console. The developer states that the upgrades will not compromise the framerate or performance and make full use of the better hardware.

The UI has also been updated to run natively at 4K, and the game will use the extra memory on the PS4 Pro to stream higher quality textures.

Those without 4K TVs will still benefit from the upgrades even as the game is rendered at 1080p due to downsampling.
