Final Fantasy III PSP Has English Language Option

July 18, 2012 by Mat Growcott

The Japanese re-release of Final Fantasy III for PSP will be extremely friendly to importers.

The PSP re-release of Final Fantasy III will include an English language option for those of you who plan to import. Although it's not a conventional option – you'll need to set your console language to English, it's not possible to change it via the game's own option menu – that isn't likely to bother people who import anyway.

It seems unlikely that the title will ever find its way to western shores; had it been a Vita game, things might have been different, but the PSP hasn't had a major new title here for quite some time. It's nice to know that we can import and enjoy the game in English then, so that those who most want to relive Final Fantasy III on their PSPs can do so without the need to do something silly like, say, learn Japanese.

Final Fantasy III PSP will be available for purchase from September 20th.
