Ubisoft’s Steep Enters Open Beta Next Month

October 27, 2016 by Dennis Patrick

Steep’s open beta will be available for PS4, Xbox One, and PC.

Steep is an upcoming open world extreme sports video game that is currently in the works under Ubisoft. The video game gives players the ability to travel up a massive mountain in order to ski, wingsuit fly, snowboard, or paraglide down. Today Ubisoft has officially confirmed that an open beta of the video game will be coming out next month.

Noted on the official Ubisoft blog, Steep will find an open beta for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC starting on November 18, 2016, through November 21, 2016. It’s also worth mentioning that gamers will find an early access beta this November 10 through November 14. Each beta will allow gamers to pre-load the video game the day before each beta kicks off.

The beta will include a variety of challenges and nine of the video game’s Mountain Stories spread across three of the seven areas that will be included when the video game fully launches. When a player successfully completes a challenge, new gear will be unlocked allowing gamers to also customize this gear to their particular taste.

Finally, the players who participate in the betas will be able to share their best plays in a GoPro view mode. As it stands right now, Steep is set to release for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC this December 2, 2016.
