The multiplayer in Assassin's Creed 3 will be every bit as pivotal to the game as its singleplayer campaign. To that end, Ubisoft has released a host of screenshots of its multiplayer mode which depict player-on-player violence.
It's quite unlike anything we've seen out of the game before, offering glimpses into the violence you'll experience in Assassin's Creed 3's multiplayer offerings. One of the mages depicts a frontiersman bashing the head of a Pocahontas-like character with the butt of his musket, while others showcase all out mayhem as a group of Assassins and Templars bloody one another on the streets of Boston. Brutal, to be sure.
In addition to all the violence going on, the screenshots reveal some never-before-seen locations in the game, including a wintery city (presumably Boston), and a snowed-in harbor in which the Northern Lights cast a ghostly blue light over the environment.
