Capcom has announced plans to release a very special edition of Street Fighter for both the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 to celebrate the series' 25th anniversary. This collector's set comes with a host of physical items as well as downloadable content.
The crown jewel of the set is an 8" tall Ryu statue in Shoryuken pose, which is exclusive to the set—so you won't be able to get it anywhere else. Also included is a 64-page hardcover art book with the best fan-drawn submissions, and an 11 disc soundtrack with official Street Fighter music and fan remixes.
The downloadable content include the full versions of Super Street Fighter II Turbo II HD Remix, Street Fighter III: 3rd Strike Online Edition, Super Street Fighter IV Arcade Edition with all costume DLC, Street Fighter X Tekken with all character swap and costume DLC.
Last but not least are a pair of Blu-Ray discs containing a documentary about the Street Fighter's influence on fans, the anime films of Super Street Fighter IV and Street Fighter IV, Street Fighter II: The Animated Movie, and the Street Fighter animated series.
The set will be available for $150 when it goes on sale on September 18 this year.
