Sonic and Mega Man Team up for Crossover Comic

July 10, 2012 by Mat Growcott

First Mario, now Mega Man; Sonic making friends left, right and centre, but will the comic book live up to fan expectation?

Whether competing in Olympic events (in which a fat plumber can inexplicably keep up with the blue blur) or appearing in games like Phantasy Star Online in cameo roles, you'd have been forgiven for thinking that SEGA freedom fighter Sonic had been everywhere and done everything. Not so, although it's definitely getting closer. Archie Comics have announced that they'll be doing a special crossover issue in which Mega Man and Sonic team up, probably to defeat some sort of evil.

The comic will be making it way into homes in 2013 with more details being released between now and then, but for now I'm sure some people are just happy that it's happening at all. Those same people now expect a video game spin-off or, at the very least, both characters appearing in the next Super Smash Brothers.
