Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) and Ubisoft have teamed up to do a joint promotion of Assassin’s Creed 3, focusing mainly on its revolutionary setting in an ad that was broadcast live at UFC 148.
The advertisement offered an overwrought play by play of the MMA moves Assassin’s Creed 3 protagonist Connor uses on his British enemies in the game.
This isn’t the first time UFC has collaborated with Ubisoft for the Assassin’s Creed franchise. The two brands have done joint promotions for both Assassin’s Creed 2 and Assassin’s Creed Revelations.
Assassin’s Creed 3 is the latest addition to the franchise, starring an all new protagonist in a new, North American setting away from the Italian and Arabic settings of the previous titles. The game’s release on the PS3, Xbox 360 and PC later this year will happen alongside the release of Assassin’s Creed 3 Liberation for the PlayStation Vita.
