VR is a massive deal within the video game industry. For the past year or two, there has been a big movement towards video game virtual reality with headsets such as the Oculus Rift, HTC Vive, and most recently, the PlayStation VR. Now as more gamers become adopters to the virtual reality side of gaming, we’re seeing developers potentially working on future big franchise installments in complete VR.

One of the latest development teams to consider a VR installment to their franchise is Arkane Studios. Recently, Gamesradar spoke with Dishonored 2’s level designer, Christophe Carrier, where he stated that the developers are considering a Dishonored VR video game.

This won’t be a direct port apparently as the development team has felt porting the original title or the upcoming Dishonored 2 video game installment will not transfer very well to VR. This means creating something brand new and according to Christophe Carrier, this would be a level design dream.

“Far Reach, Blink… yeah! Possession… there’s a lot of things that would be transferrable to VR very quickly and would be immediately fun. Your only transportation or mobility would be Blink. And you wouldn’t have all the fatalities because they are animated and you don’t want to do that because you’re going to throw up!”

While it seems that some of the more sporadic movements will be lost in this potentially upcoming Dishonored VR installment, there are other elements that Christophe Carrier feels would be really captivating within virtual reality. One of these aspects is purely taking in the environment and objects around.

Regardless, there are no confirmed reports of this video game title being tossed into development. As it stands right now, Dishonored VR is purely a video game project being put up for consideration. Gamers can pick up Dishonored 2 worldwide for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC, this November 11, 2016.
