Valve Still Confirming Steam Summer Sales

July 6, 2012 by Jen Shaffer

Just remember we’re running on Valve-Time.

The Steam Summer Camp sales haven't begun yet, but Valve has confirmed that they will still indeed happen. Although this would only be the third annual summer sale, Valve has quite the reputation to uphold, giving massive discounts on popular titles and effectively emptying wallets across the world.

In an attempt to stem the tide of anxious gamers, Mike Blaszczak posted on the Steam forums that, "We are planning a sale sometime this summer. Hope that helps!"

It's only a small confirmation, but anything in the positive will satiate the mob. June and July have both been littered with sales from GOG.com as well as Amazon, but PC gamers have been clamouring for the Steam sales to commence. Anytime Valve decides to put things on sale, they tend to make a grand event out of it and leave consumers stuffing money into any open orifice on their computers shouting "SHUT UP AND TAKE MY MONEY."
