Blizzard has announced its plans to launch the Commodities market for the Real Money Auction House, which has thus far only supported the transaction of gear and weaponry.
The company does not have a firm date on when it plans to launch the market, but says it'll happen "soon". With its launch, the Commodities market will allow the transactions of the following items:
- Gems
- Dyes
- Crafting Materials
- Blacksmithing Plans and Jeweler Designs
- Pages of Training
Unfortunately, Blizzard says it has no plans to launch the Gold market with the Commodities market, so players won't be able to buy or sell gold just yet. Blizzard says it hopes to launch the Gold market sometime in the future—perhaps once they figure out how to tame the market and reduce the currently inflated costs of items, which are exceeding the tens of millions.
We'll keep you updated.
