Nintendo has been working hard on their next big console release, aside from the upcoming miniature versions of the Nintendo Entertainment System. There hasn’t been much in terms of official reveals for the console as Nintendo continues to work on the project in secrecy. However, that hasn’t stopped plenty of supposedly insider sources from leaking out precious details about the upcoming NX.
One of the recent reports comes from popular YouTuber Boogie2988 who attended Retropalooza this year. Boogie2988, or otherwise known as Steven Williams, became a hit sensation with gamers online as he portrays a fictional bad mouth character Francis who will rant on various aspects within the video game industry, while Steven Williams will also post videos as himself going over a variety of the same topics.
As mentioned above, Boogie2988 was present at this year’s Retropalooza where he held a Q&A panel. During the panel, the topic of Nintendo was brought up where Steven Williams claims that two sources within the industry, one of which has been stated to be a Ubisoft programmer, has expressed their overall thoughts on the console.
Much like previous reports, Steven Williams states that the Nintendo NX console is a hybrid meaning that gamers can either play the console at home connected to a television or take it on the go. Additionally, another source claims that the console is as innovative as they would have hoped for from Nintendo and that they wished they could have created the console themselves.
Of course, because this is through word of mouth we have to label these reports as rumors until the official console is unveiled to the public. In the meantime, you can check out the full Q&A panel from Boogie2988 within the video above.
