Set in the Eighties in Japan, Love, Money, Rock’N’Roll is an upcoming visual novel with a current Kickstarter project. The game combines mystery, drama, romance, and rock in an immersive story that draws the player in from the start. With art by Arsenixc, iCephei, and Sinomark, they create gorgeous illustrations that shape and define the visual aspect of the game.

The game features dozens of hours of gameplay where the choices you make determine the development of the story. Four heroines, each have their own story, temper, and several possible endings also are added into the mix of different play options. There is also three hours of music in the game, as several composers and musicians have lent their talents to the game’s score.

The main character of the story, Nikolai, is the son of two engineers who emigrated to Japan from the Soviet Union when he was still young. After his parents’ tragic and sudden death in a production incident, he is forced to live alone. He attends a local school for foreigners and children from wealthy families. He gets the shock of his life when he gets caught up in a whirlwind of events that include intrigues, political schemes, and complex relationships.

The four heroines of the story are Himitsu, Catherine, Ellie, and Kagome. Himitsu is Nikolai’s childhood friend, she is kind, caring, and worries about him. Catherine is Nikolai’s ex-girlfriend, who had a rough breakup with him a year before the game’s events began. Catherine suddenly returns and transfers into his class, bringing her back into his life.

Ellie is the granddaughter of the board chairman of Nikolai’s school. She is proud and self-willed, and thinks highly of herself. Kagome is the representative of Nikolai’s class, who he never noticed before a certain chain of events occured. Kagome is a loner and not well loved in the school, with little desire for making friends.

LMRnR is planned for release on Windows (including Steam), Windows Phone, Linux, MacOS, iOS, Android, and as a web-version simultaneously.

Currently, the Kickstarter campaign for Love, Money, Rock’N’Roll has 340 backers and $7,622 pledged of $30,000 goal with 23 days left to go.
