The Nintendo company has been a household name for decades, but the glory that Nintendo’s home console systems once brought had been dimming down as of late. That may soon change with their upcoming system, code-named the Nintendo NX and while the company itself may be quiet in terms of what to expect, Ubisoft is doing their job of hyping it up.
There’s no shortage of hype, speculation, and rumors when it comes to the Nintendo NX console. One thing that Nintendo has going for them when it comes to free promotion has been Ubisoft’s CEO Yves Guillemot. The CEO has been praising the Nintendo NX console for quite some time now and the latest hype came from Ubisoft’s shareholder’s call, according to Venture Beat.
During the call, Ubisoft CEO Yves Guillemot spoke of how he believes the Nintendo NX console will be a massive hit.
“I believe Nintendo will be back in the race with the NX.”
This is no surprise as Ubisoft’s CEO has spoken highly of the NX console in the past, but with good reason. Ubisoft has taken the ability to introduce new IPs into the market when a new console and innovation releases into the market.
We previously reported on the statements made by Yves Guillemot’s excitement and advantages Ubisoft could use when a new console launches into the market. These first few years of a console life cycle gives developers the freedom to release something completely new, given them potentially new franchises to work on in the future and it seems that the company may have a few things in the works.
