The makers of Shadow Warrior 2, Flying Wild Hog and its publisher Devolver Digital, have announced a collaboration with Laced Records and rock legend Stan Bush for an upcoming limited edition vinyl record with music from the upcoming FPS. Stan Bush is best known for singing the song “The Touch” in the Transformers animated movie from 1986.
Titled Warrior EP, the record will contain four tracks and retail for $60 from Laced Records and also includes a Steam code for Shadow Warrior 2 Deluxe to be delivered on the game’s launch day on October 13, 2016. The code includes the game, the digital soundtrack, the Razorback katana, and the Solid Gold DLC pack. The Warrior EP is printed on 180-gram vinyl with a special screen-printed reverse and presented inside a premium card sleeve designed by noted Polish comic artist Michal Sledzinski.
The Warrior EP includes a track called Warrior, an original new song by Stan Bush, alongside The Touch, Never Surrender, and a remixed version of The Touch called The Touch (Lo Wang Hijack).
Shadow Warrior 2 takes place after the events of the first game, and follows the misadventures of the former corporate assassin Lo Wang, who now lives on the edge of a corrupted world. He must once again take up arms to battle the demonic legions that invaded once he inadvertently messed things up in the first game.
For the first time in the series, Lo Wang will be able to team up with three other players in four-player online co-op.
It’s out on October 1 for PC through Steam, GOG and Humble Bundle with a 20% off for owners of the first game.
