Atlus USA has released new screenshots and box art for Persona 4 Arena, the new fighting game based on the Shin Megami Tensei: Persona series.
Arena includes characters from the Persona universe battling it out in vibrant environments that will be familiar to fans of the series. The cover features Yu Narukami (the man) facing off against Labrys (the woman). Yu is the originally unnamed protagonist of Persona 4, whereas Labrys was only mentioned in Persona 3 Drama CD Moonlight. Arena will be her first in-game appearance.
Persona fans will love the "inside joke" tags under each characters name, from "The Beast in Heat" to "Captain Ressentiment."
Although this title has seen an arcade release in Japan already, a home version has yet to make its way to consumers. Persona 4 Arena will be released for the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 on July 26th in Japan and August 7th in North America. Unfortunately, the European release date hasn't been set. Sorry, Europe!
