Capcom was present during this year’s Tokyo Game Show 2016. The event held some pretty big reveals from video game developers within the east and while Capcom was there to help promote their upcoming launch of Resident Evil 7, the developers also unveiled a few new details about the latest upcoming CG film set within the franchise.
There haven’t been too many details released to the media and public since the announcement of Resident Evil: Vendetta. Previously, it was confirmed that the upcoming CG film would star Leon S. Kennedy, but today we now know there will be some familiar faces to help Leon along the way.
According to Kotaku Resident Evil: Vendetta was present at this year’s Tokyo Game Show. During the event, Capcom unveiled that both Chris Redfield and Rebecca Chambers will help Leon along in the upcoming CG film. Likewise, it was also revealed that the film would be inspired by the original Resident Evil video game. Other than the fact that the film will be set within a mansion, we don’t have too many other details to share.
It’s been speculated online so far that Resident Evil: Vendetta could be set in-between Resident Evil 6 and Resident Evil 7. This would help close the gap between the events of the two titles, but again, this is purely speculative at this point.
While the upcoming CG film doesn’t have a specific release date yet other than a launch window of 2017, gamers can expect to pick up Resident Evil 7 on January 24, 2017, for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC. For now check out the game gallery for Resident Evil 7 down below.
