The Division’s Public Test Server Has Been Delayed

September 12, 2016 by Kris Kittie

Ubisoft has also delayed a livestream event where it was going to discuss update 1.4.

2991619-tctd_1601_web_screenshot_furnaceThe Division’s public test server and a livestream event showing off the game’s new content have been delayed, with no new date mentioned yet.

In a forum post today, Ubisoft began by announcing that it is delaying the Special Report broadcast for The Division’s 1.4 update, which was scheduled for September 13th because the developer “wouldn’t be able to show of all of the content [it] would like to.”

Although the Special Report broadcast is being delated, the weekly State of the Game briefing appears to still be on for later this week. During this livestream, Ubisoft developer will give fans, “more concrete solutions that will be present in Update 1.4”

The public test server was announced last week, and Ubisoft said that it will not be released this coming Thursday, September 15th as scheduled. This decision was made as a result of Ubisoft needing more time to include “key elements that are critical to the overall Update 1.4 experience.”

“Transparency is something that we know our community wants, and something that we aim to deliver every day,” the developer explained. “In this instance, it does mean that we need to share our schedule and intentions that are subject to shifting throughout the process.”

“The alternative of ‘leaving you in the dark’ is not something we see as an option!” it added.

Update 1.4 for The Division addresses the game’s “most pressing issues.” Ubisoft said. Overall, the developer explained that improving the game is an “ongoing effort” that stars with 1.4 and will likely continue with future updates.

The Division’s public test server is launching so fans can become more involved with the development. They can submit feedback to the studio before the updates are officially released. However this feature has only been announced for PC thus far.
