Fallout 4 has been out for quite some time now and if you have been an early adopter of Bethesda’s latest installment to the franchise, you may be getting a bit tired of the title. You’ve explored what’s left to explore, completed numerous quests, and finished the main campaign. One thing that could turn that staleness around for you is mod support. Well, if you’re playing the game on PlayStation 4 then it looks like you’ll have to wait a bit longer before you can enjoy countless exciting mods.

It’s been reported in the past that Bethesda would bring over mod support on the PlayStation 4 starting in June of this year. Unfortunately, Bethesda alerted gamers and their fans of Fallout 4 that the mod support has been delayed.

A new interview was conducted by Metro as they spoke to Bethesda’s marketing executive Pete Hines, in which they hoped to shed a bit more light on the holdup. Again, Bethesda is sticking to their guns and not dwelling too much information in terms of what’s going on with the promised PlayStation 4 mod support.

When asked to further explain why PlayStation 4 version of Fallout 4 has yet to receive mod support, Pete Hines simply stated that it’s going through evaluation, but the entire team is wanting to release the mod support feature for gamers as fast as humanly possible.

“All I can say is that it’s undergoing an evaluation process and as soon as it’s done, and we have more info, we’re gonna let everyone know.

… We absolutely, positively want to get PS4 mods out as fast as humanly possible.”

The interview even went a bit into the future of Bethesda asking if the company would be holding another press event during E3 of 2017. While it’s certainly too early to decide what’s set to be shown off at E3, Pete Hines feels that Bethesda has enough projects in the works that they could likely do another event next year.
