Missed E3? Here’s Every Press Conference in One Page

June 7, 2012 by Alex Co

If you somehow missed the magic that is E3, we’ve compiled all the press conferences in one page.

If you've been living under a rock the past few days, you might know that this week is E3 week. The Electronic Entertainment Exposition (E3) is the biggest media-only videogame affair of the year. It's where announcements are made and press conferences are graded.

Speaking of press conferences, if you missed them or you just want to relive the magic, we've compiled the biggest pressers and embedded them in order of appearance. It'll be just like you're really there — minus the lack of sleep and tired fingers — of course.

Microsft E3 Press Conference

Microsoft didn't exactly wow Xbox 360 fans this year. The biggest game in their line-up is undoubtedly Halo 4 and they managed to show that in spades. Other than that, they revealed a bunch of things non-US residents won't give a crap about and talked about the Xbox Smart Glass.

EA Press Conference

Electronic Arts broke of their E3 presser in 10 segments where each developer showcased the game they were working on. Highlights include the official reveal and gameplay demo of Dead Space 3,multiplayer reveal of Medal of Honor Warfighter, Crysis 3 playthrough, the announcement that the UFC license is now with EA and the announcement of the new Need for Speed game. Sadly, there was no mention of Respawn's game anywhere. Maybe next year, no?

Ubisoft E3 Press Conference

In what many consider to be the "winner" this year, Ubisoft brought the goods with extensive gameplay demos of Assassin's Creed III, Splinter Cell: Blacklist, and what many consider to be this year's E3 showstopper, Watch Dogs. Even if you're not a fan of ACIII or Splinter Cell, I suggest giving Watch Dogs a look.

Sony E3 Press Conference

Sony's biggest announcement of the year kicked off the show. And this was Quantic Dream's unraveling of their newest PS3-exclusive game Beyond: Two Souls. Aside from that, Sony's presser was the same with Microsoft's, in the sense that both were underwhelming. We did get a look at Wonderbook and a gameplay demo of God of War: Ascension and The Last of Us though.

Nintendo E3 Press Conference

The Big N's press conference was the last for E3 and unfortunate for us, they did not end it with a bang. but with a whimper. The Wii U's release date and price was not revealed. The games shown for it were nothing special and they still haven't addressed the major concerns (third party support, online infrastructure) people have with the upcoming console. We did get to see a very long demo about NintendoLand and there was a quick gameplay demo for New Super Mario Bros. U.

Well, there you have it. That's E3 in a nutshell. I have to say, this might be one of the most underwhelming E3s I've ever seen…and I'm guessing that most of the big stuff are being reserved for next year, as that's when it's speculated that we'll finally hear about Sony and Microsoft's next-gen platforms.

If E3 let you down, don't worry! Gamescom is just around the corner and we'll be there to break the news when it happens.

Which company won E3 for you? More importantly, which games are you excited about?
