In a surprise announcement today, games developer Criterion (well known and well regarded for its racing titles) confirmed the development of a new Need for Speed Most Wanted game.
The announcement was made after EA released a general list of the games it plans to show at E3, which includes a few other surprise titles.
The tentatively titled Need for Speed: Most Wanted 2 is set to be published by EA, and will be unveiled in full at the publisher's E3 press conference on June 4 at 1PM Pacific.
The announcement was accompanied with the release of its first ever screenshot, which you can see above the fold.
