Hitman: Absolution Returns to its Roots With New Video Walkthrough

June 1, 2012 by Ian Miles Cheong

Agent 47 is back to his old self in a new gameplay preview.

Hitman: Absolution has made the headlines in recent days for its excessively violent CGI trailer depicting Agent 47 as he kills a group of assassins dressed up as sexy nuns. It faced a barrage of criticism for its depiction of sexualized violence, as well as its lack of relation to the game itself.

Through VG247, IO Interactive appears to aim to correct some of the misconceptions of its game today with the release of a ten minute walkthrough of a mission to "kill the king of Chinatown," in which Agent 47 makes his way through back alleys and crowds.

The preview shows off a lot of the freedom available to the player and some good old fashioned Hitman-esque gameplay.

Hitman: Absolution will be released on the Xbox 360, PlayStation 3 and PC on November 20.
